About the event

Led by seasoned screen and theatre actor Matt Cross, this one day workshop will examine the use of animal physicality to add new dimensions to your performance.  This challenging masterclass will enable you to discover new, surprising ways of moving and acting for roles in theatre, screen and motion capture.

With detailed observation and physical experimentation, you will work to become the animal fully. You will examine its facial expressions, how it stands, moves, walks and runs, adopting the physicality and its essence. Developing this further into scene work with text before finally finding those animal traits in human characters.

Throughout this workshop Matt will be drawing upon his extensive experience as a physical practitioner, as well as his motion capture work as Akut in The Legend of Tarzan.

When: Saturday 6th May 2023, 10am-4.00pm
