About the Event

Led by experienced puppeteer and puppet maker Bee Daws, this hands-on workshop will introduce you to Bunraku Puppetry, including, object manipulation, creating a character, interaction with others and improvisation.

Bunraku puppetry is an art that finds its origins in Japan - it is becoming an increasingly popular technique and one that many performers are likely to come across in puppetry jobs or auditions. This workshop is suitable for performers and puppeteers over the age of 18, who want to learn the principles of Bunraku puppetry.

When: Saturday 5th February 2022, 10am-5.00pm

Cost: £50 per person

Suitable for ages 18+, Professional performers, Teachers and Directors.
